Why choose MariDeck?

MariDeck is the classic embossed, non-slip boat floor. First, it comes in two thicknesses. 34 mil suits new, smooth decks, while 80 mil covers the nicks and low spots in an older deck. In addition, some 34 mil colors come 6 ft wide, which suits aluminum fishing boats.

MariDeck also makes a woven style. It gives the look of teak or seagrass in an 80 mil sheet with a non-woven polyester backing.

Why choose DuraVinyl?

DuraVinyl is a woven vinyl, so it looks more like a fabric than a sheet. Its high-density felt cushion back also adds stability and crush resistance underfoot. In addition, it offers the most looks, with 34 colors across striped, basketweave and patterned styles.

It is not only for boats either. The manufacturer makes it for both indoor and outdoor spaces, and it is strong and durable enough for heavy commercial traffic.

MariDeck vs DuraVinyl: adhesive

The two brands use different adhesives. MariDeck recommends its own adhesive. If you use a different one, it must be PVC-compatible, or it can affect how the vinyl looks, bonds and performs. Of MariDeck’s adhesives, use MD-101 on unsealed plywood, or MD-102 on aluminum, fiberglass and sealed wood. For DuraVinyl, use 390 Professional adhesive instead, because it is on the manufacturer’s list of recommended adhesives.

MariDeck vs DuraVinyl: warranty

MariDeck flooring carries a two-year limited manufacturer’s warranty, while DuraVinyl carries a ten-year limited one. However, both cover manufacturing defects only, and both apply to the original purchaser. In addition, neither covers damage from improper installation. Good care also matters, so read our guide to cleaning and care for marine vinyl flooring.

Which one should you choose?

Choose MariDeck if you want an embossed floor, need to cover an older deck or need a 6 ft width. Choose DuraVinyl if you want a woven look with a cushion back and the widest choice of colors. You can also compare all six styles side by side. In addition, we offer free shipping on all orders over $75.
