Keep it warm while it cures
Boat carpet glue needs to stay warm to work properly. Therefore, do not let it freeze, and bring it to room temperature before you start. In addition, plan for a few days of warm, dry weather, so it can cure before you take the boat out.
When to choose a different marine carpet adhesive
However, 290 is not for every surface. For aluminum and fiberglass, you need 390 Professional boat carpet adhesive instead. For bass boat lids and vertical surfaces, add spray contact adhesive as well.
