5 ft minimum

MariDeck 80 mil marine vinyl flooring is the heavy-duty sheet for pontoons and older boats. It is 8.5 ft wide and more than twice as thick as 34 mil, so it covers the nicks, dents and low spots that thinner vinyl shows.

80 mil marine vinyl flooring for older and uneven decks

MariDeck 80 mil marine vinyl flooring

80 mil marine vinyl flooring is the MariDeck sheet to choose when the deck is not perfect. Because of the extra thickness, it covers nicks, dents and valleys left by age or sanding. As a result, an older wood floor still finishes clean. It also works on any surface and is a strong fit for pontoons and older boats with wooden floors.

80 mil or 34 mil vinyl flooring?

34 mil 80 mil
Best for New plywood, aluminum, fiberglass Any surface, including older wood floors
Worn or uneven decks Shows imperfections Covers nicks, dents and low spots
Widths 6 ft and 8.5 ft 8.5 ft
Colors 11 6

If your deck is new and flat, 34 mil marine vinyl flooring will do the job. However, if you are re-covering an older floor, choose 80 mil instead.

What you get with 80 mil vinyl flooring

  • Heavy-duty 80 mil thickness, 8.5 ft wide
  • Embossed, non-slip texture
  • UV stabilized to resist fading
  • Exterior-grade polymer construction
  • 6 colors: Granite, Premier Granite, Premier Sand, Sand, Stone Gray and Willow Brown
  • Ships directly from the factory

It also suits saltwater and freshwater boats, and the mess from fishing, hunting or a boatload of kids sprays off with a hose.

Adhesive and warranty

The flooring is backed by the manufacturer. MariDeck’s warranty covers defects in the material. MariDeck recommends its own adhesive. If you use a different one, it must be PVC-compatible, or it can affect how the vinyl looks, bonds and performs. Of MariDeck’s adhesives, use water-based MD-101 for unsealed plywood decks, or solvent-based MD-102 for aluminum, fiberglass and sealed wood.
