34 mil marine vinyl flooring for new, smooth decks

MariDeck 34 mil marine vinyl flooring

34 mil marine vinyl flooring is the MariDeck thickness to choose when the deck under it is smooth. For example, use it on new marine plywood, or on aluminum and fiberglass floors. It is also a vinyl alternative to marine carpet for pontoon, aluminum fishing, bass, ski and house boats, in fresh or salt water.

Is 34 mil vinyl flooring right for your deck?

First, the surface has to be flat, with no dips or valleys. Because 34 mil vinyl is thin and flexible, it will show the imperfections in an older wood floor. As a result, it works best on new marine plywood, aluminum and fiberglass. However, if your older wood floor has dents or sanding marks, choose 80 mil marine vinyl flooring instead.

What you get with 34 mil vinyl flooring

  • Embossed, non-slip texture
  • UV stabilized to resist fading
  • Exterior-grade polymer construction
  • Two widths, depending on the color: 6 ft or 8.5 ft
  • 11 colors: Camo, Granite, Gray, Ocean, OD Green, Sand, Stone Gray, Tan, White, Willow Brown and Wine
  • Ships directly from the factory

Also, cleanup after fishing, hunting or a boatload of kids is a spray with the hose.

Adhesive and warranty

MariDeck flooring is backed by the manufacturer. MariDeck’s warranty covers defects in the material. MariDeck recommends its own adhesive. If you use a different one, it must be PVC-compatible, or it can affect how the vinyl looks, bonds and performs. Of MariDeck’s adhesives, use the water-based MD-101 adhesive on unsealed plywood, and the solvent-based MD-102 adhesive on aluminum, fiberglass and sealed wood.
